Club Visit to Tyabb Airfield 18 October 2015.
A beautiful day dawned to ensure an enjoyable visit to the Tyabb Airfield for tours of two hangars which house a variety of warbirds and other historic planes as well as an assortment of cars and other memorabilia.
The club was also joined by the Compact Fairlane Club of Victoria and around 40 people were shown through the hangars.
The first was The Old Aeroplane Company maintenance hangar and museum which is owned by Judy Pay. Judy was in attendance on the day and answered a host of questions plus organised the visit to the second hangar owned by Graham Hosking.
Stan (our resident tour guide) showed two groups of people through the Old Aeroplane Company facilities.
Judy and Stan also checked out our cars and awarded a certificate to their favourite car. This was won by Ed Narkiewicz with his lovely A Model Roadster.
This was followed by a BBQ lunch before we all moved to the second hangar where we were shown through by Judy.
