Members were up early to block off the Main Street of Mornington for what was to be the highlight of the weekend. By 8:30 am the Rods started rolling in and they just kept on coming. In the end, there was well over 300 hots rods packed into the Main Street, gleaming in the warm Autumn sunshine.
It was truly a spectacular site, and an estimated 4000 locals mingled with the entrants to view the rods and soak up the atmosphere. There were plenty of tables and chairs outside every cafe and take away, the ideal vantage point. Outside the Grand Hotel, the juke box was providing some cool tunes.
